GREGORY is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in The New School’s Graduate Program of International Affairs in New York City, where he is expected to graduate in May 2017 with a focus on Development. Prior to attending The New School, he received his bachelor’s degree in International Business from Fairfield University in Connecticut. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Gregory primarily worked in the finance sector as an analyst and portfolio manager in a commercial lending group at TD Bank in Boston. After six years at TD, he decided to forgo the private sector and works towards a more altruistic career. His academic interests include, among other things, GIS for humanitarian purposes, and creating data management and analysis solutions to facilitate improved strategic decision-making at non-profit organizations. To that end, he has designed a new monitoring and evaluation system for Wide Horizons For Children (WHFC), and will be implementing it throughout the organization’s field offices in Ethiopia. Greg’s interest in Ethiopia stems from his development studies and how they relate to the country’s rapid economic growth over the last few decades; he also looks forward to experiencing Ethiopia’s rich history, proud culture, and natural beauty.
